NHS Volunteers with Operation Christmas Child
The CCS’s National Honor Society volunteered with members of Operation Christmas Child at Cornerstone Family Church. They packed shoe boxes into 85 cartons to be shipped to a church in Harleysville and then loaded on several 18 wheelers. The trucks will arrive at the East coast packing facility in Baltimore, Maryland. Once the OCC staff ensures the contents of every box are customs approved, they will send the boxes to 170 countries and territories. OCC not only delivers the boxes but they also present the Gospel message to each child.
In addition to packing 1,275 OCC boxes, CCS’s NHS members also packed shoe boxes and crafted special little trinkets to make the boxes special.
Tale as Old as Time: Coventry Presents Beauty and the Beast
This weekend the Coventry Theater Department brought their very best to the stage! A team of more than 40 students sang their hearts out to 4 SOLD OUT shows. We were able to honor 7 seniors who took the stage to sing one last time in a musical here at Coventry. It was bittersweet. We are so thankful for all the all the hands that made this weekend possible.

Sixth Graders Took a Ride on the Pony Express
Last week, the 6th graders read about the wild west in “They’re Off: The Story of the Pony Express” and imagined what it would be like if we were a pony express rider ourselves through dressing up as cowboys, eating chili and cornbread, and sharing stories around the (digital) campfire of our adventures on the pony express.
Trip to Bauman’s to Make Cider
Our Kindergarten classes went to Frecon Farms a few weeks ago to learn about apples and how they grow. This week we went to Bauman’s to see what they do with all those apples. We saw them press the apples to make cider. They also showed us how they make apple butter. They were delicious!
Book Character Day
It is always fun to dress up, which is why Book Character Day is one of our favorites. From our littlest up through high school, even our teachers join in. Who is your favorite author? What story makes you smile?
Apple Picking at Frecon Farms
It was a beautiful day for a trip to Frecon Farms!
Kindergarten enjoyed picking apples and learning about the orchard.
All Around the World Club!
This past week in our Around the World club we learned about Japan and made sushi! Everyone did a great job making their own sushi roll and tasting the sushi. We also tried soy sauce, pickled ginger, and using chopsticks!
Second Grade Pollinator Science
Second grade used cheese balls to demonstrate the stickiness of pollen and to reinforce how pollinators help make new flowers!
