5th Grade Travels Back in Time

5th graders experienced some colonial activities last week at Cedar Grove and Mount Pleasant.  We learned how to use a quill pen, play some colonial games, make mustard from mustard seeds, and tried on colonial outfits.  Each student also started their own sampler.  We had great weather and took in so much information.5th grade trip october 5th grade trip october 2

Kindergarten went on a trip to learn about apples. We picked many apples. The kids had a lot of fun!

After picking apples we went to the park for lunch.  We also had time to play on the playground.

We went to Bauman’s  apple cider factory to see how apple cider and apple butter are made.  Here we are watching them press the Apple cider.

After the trip we had some time to play at school. Vinnie built his own Apple cider press with the gears. Maybe someday he’ll be an engineer.
