5th graders experienced some colonial activities last week at Cedar Grove and Mount Pleasant. We learned how to use a quill pen, play some colonial games, make mustard from mustard seeds, and tried on colonial outfits. Each student also started their own sampler. We had great weather and took in so much information.

Experimenting in Chemistry
The grade 10 chemistry class studied waves last week. Waves occur all over the natural world, and they can occur as light, sound, radiation, water ripples etc. The class observed and investigated the basic characteristics of waves, using a coiled spring.
What’s Happening at Recess?
Recess is important to our kids. Some kids need it to have a chance to run around and be loud. Some just need time to hang out with friends.
3MPS with Ms. Beth
We learned a lot of interesting facts about alligators in 3MPS. Here we are exploring fun and exciting “Alligator Dig!”
We are making some great friends and memories in our 3 Morning Preschool class! This week we learned about the Golden Rule and how God made each of us special.
Omnibus III
After reading Pilgrim’s Progress, Omnibus III performed skits in groups. Here, Alaina Dudley, Christian Molfetto, Riley Minor, and Darcy Overley put on a skit for the scene, “The Palace Beautiful”, where Christian is provided the armors of God.
Kindergarten’s Apple Field Trip
Kindergarten went on a trip to learn about apples. We picked many apples. The kids had a lot of fun!
After picking apples we went to the park for lunch. We also had time to play on the playground.
We went to Bauman’s apple cider factory to see how apple cider and apple butter are made. Here we are watching them press the Apple cider.
After the trip we had some time to play at school. Vinnie built his own Apple cider press with the gears. Maybe someday he’ll be an engineer.
Pre-school Fire Safety
Sanatoga Fire Co. taught about fire safety. The Fire Chief told us that fire firefighters are our friends and that they’re there to help us.
Beckam Scott volunteered to help the fire fighters demonstrate stop, drop, cover and roll.
Meet & Greet with our Board of Trustees
The CCS Board of Trustees is hosting an evening Meet & Greet on Tuesday, November 3. They value our families and are looking forward to seeing everyone.
